KUCHING: Korean graduate, Kyung Eun Seo, came
back to SEGi College Sarawak to share her culture and values by conducting a
short Korean language class session for SEGi College Sarawak’s students.
Kyung Eun Seo, a past student of SEGi who is
currently studying both Bachelor of English Literature and Bachelor of Western
Art at Hansung University in South Korea, spent her semester break back in
Kuching Sarawak so she could reconnect with her friends and lecturers, and at
the same time teach the basics of Korean language as an appreciation to SEGi
students.
“When I first came to SEGi College Sarawak, I
fell in love with the different cultures and friendly people here; however, my
time studying here was too short and not long enough for me to enjoy this great
environment. Therefore, I decided to spend semester break back here and at the
same time share my knowledge of Korean language to my friends in SEGi College
Sarawak”, said Seo.
When asked why she choose to teach Korean in SEGi
College Sarawak, Seo answered that most of her friends in SEGi College Sarawak
were interested to learn basic Korean, and since she is a native speaker, she
used the visit as an opportunity to teach her friends the basics of the
language.
Seo is passionate about teaching and her goal in
life is to teach art to international students. By teaching Korean language she
felt that her dream as teacher has been fulfilled a little and she hopes to
come back to SEGi College Sarawak again.
Ms. Kyung Eun Seo enjoyed
the opportunity to
return
to SEGi Sarawak and
hone her teaching skills.
