SEGi College Sarawak welcomes the lunar year with a celebration

KUCHING – As the College welcomes the Chinese New Year, the Principal of SEGi College Sarawak, Madam Elina Tiu is hopeful that the coming lunar year would usher in a more productive and progressive period to the institution.


“We would like to extend our greetings of prosperity and good fortune to the entire students and staffs here in our college” said Tiu.

The year of the Water Dragon for the Chinese is expected to bring good luck for local business and international partnership as well as potentially enhance the establishment of the college in the educational line.

“This encouraging forecast somehow give us the drive to achieve our goal’s this coming year – boosting the number of students and attracting more foreign students to choose SEGi College Sarawak as their education destination”.

Tiu said that the College is now gearing on the right track just a few weeks into the year.

“We understand that the year ahead will be uncertain and challenging, but we will gird ourselves for the uncertainties and be confident that SEGi College Sarawak is in a strong position to weather any storm”

She was interviewed during the Chinese New Open House held in the main campus recently where most of the students and staffs dressed in red, thronged the main campus to join in the occasion.

A celebrative mood fills the air as the traditional drums and Lion Dance troupe kick-started the event.
An excellent 5 Star rating recently received by SEGi College Sarawak in MOHE MyQuest Evaluation is a testimonial for its commitment in delivering quality education by meeting the high standards as set out by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE).

“This recognition will be the driving force for us to continuously improve our quality and performance to remain competitive in the market” added Tiu.

SEGi College Sarawak welcomes the public to walk-in to our Open Day which will be held in our Main Campus at 211 Jalan Bukit Mata Kuching on the 3rd and 4th of February 2012.

The College are offering RM500 rebates to every new sign-up which will only valid until 11th February 2012.
