New SEGi students receive free MP5 gifts

Press Release dated 6th  June 2011

KUCHING: Twelve of 18 students who registered for their respective courses during the last SEGi Open Day in Kuching were given a free MP5 gift a week after starting their classes.

Vice Principal for Operations, Helen Ngu, presented the free gifts to the students in a simple handing-over ceremony after their classes.

The remaining 6 students were unable to attend the event but have received their gifts over the week either before or after their classes.

“The Open Day promotion was to give students the additional encouragement as well as a reward for taking the right step towards higher education,” said Ngu.
“All the students had to do was to register as students during SEGi College Sarawak’s April Open Day.”

These 18 students registered for a variety of degrees and diploma programmes offered at the College like the Foundation and A-Level programmes, leading to UK Law and Business Honours Degrees.

Students who registered with SEGi’s Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health at King’s Centre also benefitted from the promotion.

Naturally, the students were excited and eager to try out their latest gadget soon after their orientation but the MP5s only arrived that week.

“There was a brief waiting period as the free gifts were shipped over from Kuala Lumpur as the stocks for this model were insufficient for the number of students,” said Ngu.

SEGi College Sarawak offers many industry-driven programmes from foundation and diploma programmes to master degrees, giving graduates the best of opportunities in securing employment.

The College has a strong reputation for its Law, Business, Accounting, Marketing and IT programmes. Its younger faculties of Creative Arts and Design, Mass Communication, Nursing and Allied Health as well as Education and Social Science are also fast becoming renown in Sarawak.
