Showcase of SEGi Sarawak final year students’ artwork 

Young and Creative! FOCAD final year students featuring their artworks in the showcase

KUCHING: Full with creativity. The final year students of SEGi College Sarawak (SCS) artworks were displayed in the Multimedia and Design (MAD) Showcase in the College Theatrette from 29th November 2012 until 16th December 2012. A total of 23 final year students from Diploma in Graphic Design and Diploma in Creative Multimedia participated in this showcase.

This showcase featured Faculty of Creative Arts and Design students’ artwork which were done using various methods and techniques. Some were designed using modern software such as 3D Max, Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Wendy Liew, one of the participants in this exhibition, showcased her final year project, the "Vintage Armani". This academic project was done via Illustrator and Photoshop.

“I used The Georgio Armani concept as reference for my design with a vintage black & white concept as my main theme”, said Wendy.

Another participant, Elaine Bun used the idea of an event theme with a "Back to School" concept as reference for her project.  “I used several softwares to complete my design including Illustrator and Photoshop for the graphics, and Flash and Movie Maker for animation”, said Elaine.

Elaine and Wendy are currently studying their final year of the Diploma in Graphic Design under the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design (FOCAD).

Many inspired design and multimedia projects were showcased during the exhibition.

FOCAD programmes are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA). The programmes are currently open for the January 2013 intake.

SEGi College Sarawak also provides financial assistance in terms of study loans and scholarships to high achievers in SPM and STPM.
